Things of My Very Own, Inc. provides crisis intervention services to children impacted by extensive abuse and/or neglect. Services are also available to children who are, solely due to the lack of items necessary for sustainability, at risk of a Child Protective Services intervention.

Barefoot College

Barefoot College is a non-profit organization that focuses on empowering indigenous women. Barefoot College works with a Fair Trade Coffee cooperative owned and operated entirely by indigenous women in Guatemala. After surviving a decade-long genocide, these resilient women are now creating a fair-trade, holistic economy through coffee production and sustainable agriculture techniques. Proceeds from sales go towards helping indigenous women led efforts to promote education, health, sustainable agriculture, women’s rights and much more! 

Alex’s Way

“Alex’s Way” will be an emergency transitional child-care center at the Schuyler Inn. The Schuyler Inn is the “largest transitional housing program for families in the Capital District, providing assistance to hundreds of homeless families annually. Donations will go towards making this beautiful idea into a reality.
